Oilers Rout Panthers, Win 95-67

The University of Findlay men's basketball team earned a convincing 95-67 win at Ohio Dominican University on Feb. 4 to extend their winning streak to 11 games. The win gives the Oilers a 16-5 record on the season with a 13-3 mark in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.

The Oilers took a 39-36 lead at the break and then dominated the second half as they out-scored the Panthers by a 56-31 margin. The Oilers, who shot 59.0 percent (36-of-61) from the floor in the game, really dominated down low as they out-scored Ohio Dominican by a 40-22 margin in points in the paint. Findlay also held a 37-26 advantage on the boards and were up by as many as 40 points in the game.

Sophomore forward Taren Sullivan led the team with a career-high 26 points in only 22 minutes of action. He hit 9-of-14 attempts from the floor and also added six rebounds, two assists and a block.

Sophomore guard Elijah Kahlig came off the bench to score 11 points while senior forward John Staley contributed 11 points and six rebounds.

Sophomore guard Martyce Kimbrough, senior guard Dylan Kaufman and freshman forward Alex White each scored ten points apiece in the victory as well.

The Oilers will now return home to host Tiffin University on Saturday at 3pm in Croy Gymnasium.
