GLIAC Tournament Success

The Oilers sport a 31-7 record in the GLIAC Tournament, winning titles in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014.  They reached the finals in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

The Oilers have captured eight GLIAC Tournament titles, the most in league history.  Their win in the 2013 tournament gave them two in a row away from the friendly confines of Croy Gymnasium, the first time a school had ever won back-to-back championships on the road in the history of the GLIAC Tournament.  Their victory in 2014 then marked the first time a GLIAC school had won three straight tournament championships.

Findlay has reached the championship game of the GLIAC Tournament ten times during their existence in the league and sport an 8-2 record in those games.

Advantage Findlay

The Oilers have never lost a GLIAC Tournament game at home.  Since 2002-03, the first season the Oilers qualified for the tournament, Findlay has achieved a perfect 22-0 record in GLIAC Tournament games within the friendly confines of Croy Gymnasium. The program has garnered six of their eight GLIAC Tournament titles in front of their home fans.

MVP Performances

Findlay has seen eight players earn GLIAC Tournament MVP honors over the years with Frank Phillips being the only one to capture the award twice. Phillips earned the honor in 2004 and again in 2007. Matt Metzger (2005), Josh Bostic (2009), Nathan Hyde (2010), Kyle Caiola (2012), Brad Piehl (2013) and Greg Kahlig (2014) were also voted the GLIAC Tournament MVP.

Overall, the Oilers have had 33 players named to the GLIAC All-Tournament team since 2003.
