Kimbrough Named 1st Team All-GLIAC

Sophomore guard Martyce Kimbrough was named first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) as the league office unveiled their annual postseason awards on March 1.

Kimbrough is averaging 15.5 points per game and ranks second in the GLIAC in made three pointers with 76. He is also shooting 40.4 percent (76-of-188) and is ranked second in the conference in free throw shooting percentage at 90.0 percent (63-of-70).

The Lima, Ohio native has scored in double figures 24 times on the season and put up a season-high 29 points in the Oilers 82-66 win at Grand Valley State on Jan. 3. He also has five games with 20 points or more.

In addition, sophomore forward Taren Sullivan earned second team all-conference accolades while senior forward John Staley earned a spot on the all-defensive team for the second straight season.

Sullivan is averaging 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game this season. He is also shooting 47.8 percent (138-of-289) from the floor and has made 20 steals on the year.

Staley, who is shooting a GLIAC-best 73.3 percent (129-of-176) from the floor, is averaging 10.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
