Kimbrough Named GLIAC Player of the Week

Junior guard Martyce Kimbrough was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week on Dec. 12 for his performances against Northwood University and Lake Superior State University last week.

Kimbrough averaged 33.0 points per game for the Oilers last week and helped them achieve a 1-1 record. He scored 28 points and hit six three pointers in the Oilers 91-73 victory over Northwood on Dec. 8 and then followed with a career-high 38 points and eight triples in Findlay's 90-85 loss to Lake Superior State on Dec. 10. His 38 points against the Lakers were the most an Oilers player has scored since former UF All-American Greg Kahlig put up 55 points against Walsh on March 8, 2014.

The Lima, Ohio native is averaging 20.1 points per game this season, the fourth-best mark in the GLIAC. He leads the conference with 32 made three pointers and 4.0 triples per game.
