Oilers Head to Tiffin/Ashland this Week
The Oilers will be on the road this week at Tiffin on Jan. 26 and at Ashland on Jan. 28. The Oilers and Dragons will tip at 7:30 p.m. while the start time for the Oilers and Eagles game is slated for 3:00 p.m.

Series Information
The Oilers hold a commanding 44-8 advantage in the all-time series against the Dragons dating back to the 1926-27 campaign when Tiffin won 22-21.
The Oilers swept their regular season series against the Dragons last year, winning 70-60 at Tiffin and 94-75 in Findlay. In the road win, Martyce Kimbrough paced the team with 20 points while Taren Sullivan contributed 14. In the home win, Taren Sullivan poured in 27 points to lead the way. Sullivan made 9-of-15 shot attempts and canned five triples. He also added five rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal.
The Oilers hold a 63-29 advantage in the all-time series against Ashland dating back to the 1910-11 campaign when Findlay won 35-10.
The two programs split their regular season series last year with each team capturing a home win. The Oilers defeated the Eagles 71-63 in Croy and fell 67-64 in Ashland. In the home win, Martyce Kimbrough paced the team with 22 points on 7-of-19 shooting. In the road loss, John Staley led the Oilers with 16 points and eight rebounds while Taren Sullivan and Martyce Kimbrough had 13 points apiece.
Findlay
The Oilers are 14-4 on the season with an 8-3 record in conference play. They are coming off of an 81-79 win over Lake Erie on Jan. 21.
Junior guard Martyce Kimbrough and junior forward Taren Sullivan have been carrying the scoring load for Findlay this season and are both ranked in the top-ten of the GLIAC in points per game average.
Kimbrough is averaging 18.5 points per contest, the fifth-best mark in the league, while Sullivan ranks ninth with 16.7 points per game. The duo has spearheaded one of the top offensive attacks in the league as the Oilers rank third in scoring at 85.0 points per game.
Tiffin
The Dragons are 8-10 on the season with a 4-7 record in conference play.Austin Adams leads the team and is averaging 13.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest. Khaleal McCormick is right behind him in the scoring column as he is contributing 13.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per outing.
Tony Kynard (12.2) and Juwan Johnson (11.9) are also averaging in double figures for the Dragons.
Ashland
The Eagles are 11-6 on the season with a 6-5 record in GLIAC play. They have won four straight games and have been led by Adrian Cook, who is averaging 12.9 points per contest.
Ben Haraway (10.9) and Boo Osborne (10.8) are also scoring in double figures for the Eagles.
GLIAC Players of the Week
The Oilers have had two players earn GLIAC South Division Player of the Week honors this season. Junior guard Martyce Kimbrough earned the honor on Dec. 12 and junior forward Taren Sullivan captured the award on Jan. 9 and again on Jan. 23.
Kimbrough earned his honor by averaging 33.0 points per game in the Oilers contests against Northwood (Dec. 8) and Lake Superior State (Dec. 10). He scored He scored 28 points and hit six three pointers in the Oilers 91-73 victory over Northwood and then followed with a career-high 38 points and eight triples in Findlay's 90-85 loss to Lake Superior State. His 38 points against the Lakers were the most an Oilers player has scored since former UF All-American Greg Kahlig put up 55 points against Walsh on March 8, 2014.
Sullivan meanwhile has captured the award twice. He earned the honor the first time by leading the Oilers to three wins over Carlow (Jan. 2), 6th-ranked Saginaw Valley State (Jan. 5) and Wayne State (Jan. 7). He averaged 12.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals per game in the three victories.
Sullivan's second award came when he averaged 21.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in Findlay's wins over Ohio Dominican (1/19) and Lake Erie (1/21). Sullivan began the week with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists in the Oilers 72-69 win over Ohio Dominican on Jan. 19. He closed the week with 22 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals in Findlay's 81-79 victory against Lake Erie on Jan. 21.
