Oilers Host Tiffin/Ashland in Croy
The Oilers will be at home this week to host Tiffin University and Ashland University. The Oilers will play the Dragons on Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in their annual Make-A-Wish game before hosting the Eagles on Feb. 18 at 3:00 p.m. for Senior Day.

Two Former UF Men's Basketball Players Headed to the Hall
University of Findlay men's basketball legends Mike Pohlman ('00) and Dustin Pfeifer ('06) will enshrined in the UF Athletic Hall of Fame on Feb. 18 in the Winebrenner Theological Seminary.
Doors will open at 10:15 a.m. and the induction/luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. The registration fee is $25 for adults, $15 for minors and free for children ages 6 and younger. Series Information
The Oilers hold a commanding 45-8 advantage in the all-time series against the Dragons dating back to the 1926-27 campaign when Tiffin won 22-21.
Earlier this season the Oilers claimed a 75-58 win at Tiffin on Jan. 26. Findlay hit on 28-of-53 from the floor for 52.8% and made 8-of-21 from behind the arc while holding the Dragons to 40.7% (22-of-54) overall and just 2-of-16 from deep. The Oilers outrebounded the Dragons 34-29.
Tyler Stern-Tucker and Martyce Kimbrough led the Oilers with 18 points. Stern-Tucker hit 8-of-12 from the floor and grabbed five rebounds while Kimbrough hit 7-of-12 including 4-of-8 from behind the arc.
Elijah Kahlig reached double-figures with 17 points, 11 of which came in the first half. He hit 5-of-9 and made a trio of shots from deep.
Taren Sullivan had another solid game as he scored eight points and led the team with eight rebounds while Trey Smith scored nine points, four of which came from the charity stripe.
The Oilers hold a 63-30 advantage in the all-time series against Ashland dating back to the 1910-11 campaign when Findlay won 35-10.
Earlier this season the Eagles blasted the Oilers by a score of 86-65 on Jan. 28. The Eagles came out on fire in the first half as they took a 50-31 lead at the break. The Eagles raced out to their lead by connecting on 66.7 percent (20-of-30) of their shot attempts from the field. They also made six three pointers and held a 21-10 advantage on the boards.
The Oilers were only able to connect on 37.3 percent (22-of-59) of their shot attempts while the Eagles ended the game with a 58.9 percent (33-of-56) shooting clip. The Eagles also held a 34-20 advantage in paint points and recorded 17 assists in the game.
Individually, Taren Sullivan led Findlay with 21 points and eight rebounds. Martyce Kimbrough also reached double figures with ten points to go along with five boards.
Findlay
The Oilers are 18-5 on the season with a 13-4 record in conference play. They have a 12-1 record in Croy this season.
Junior guard Martyce Kimbrough and junior forward Taren Sullivan have been carrying the scoring load for Findlay this season and are both ranked in the top-ten of the GLIAC in points per game average.
Kimbrough is averaging 18.9 points per contest, the fifth-best mark in the league, while Sullivan ranks sixth with 17.5 points per game. The duo has spearheaded one of the top offensive attacks in the league as the Oilers rank third in scoring at 84.2 points per game.
The Oilers are making 40.3 percent (241-of-598) of their three point attempts this season, the second-best percentage in the GLIAC. They are also making 10.0 three pointers per game, which is the second-best mark in the league.
Sullivan is making a team-high 45.7 percent (48-of-105) of his triple tries and is followed closely by junior guard Elijah Kahlig, who is converting 45.0 percent (63-of-140) of his shot attempts from behind the three point line. Kimbrough is canning 42.7 percent (88-of-206) of his three point attempts as well. Sullivan ranks third in the GLIAC in three point shooting percentage while Kahlig and Kimbrough rank fourth and tenth, respectively, in the GLIAC.
Kimbrough's 88 made triples this season is the top mark in the GLIAC and is the 15th-best total in NCAA Division II men's basketball.
Tiffin
The Dragons are 11-14 on the season with a 6-11 record in GLIAC play. They have been led by Austin Adams, who is averaging 16.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest.
Khaleal McCormick is providing 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while Juwan Johnson is averaging 11.8 points and 4.7 boards per contest.
Tony Kynard is also scoring in double figures on the year as he is averaging 10.3 points per outing.
Ashland
The Eagles are 15-8 on the season with a 10-7 record in conference play. They have been led by Adrian Cook, who is averaging 13.8 points per game.
Boo Osborne is scoring 11.9 points per contest while Ben Haraway is contributing 10.8 points per outing.
Marsalis Hamilton is nearly averaging double figures, scoring 8.9 points per game to go along with 6.6 rebounds per contest.
Record Chasing?
Junior guard Martyce Kimbrough is on pace to break the school record for most made three pointers in a season. Kimbrough has made 88 three pointers this season and has his eyes set on breaking Nathan Hyde's mark of 95 made triples during the 2009-10 campaign.
Kimbrough has also chucked up 206 three pointers this season. The school record for most three point field goals attempted in a season is 221, which was set by Marc Bishop during the 1998-99 season.
As a team, the Oilers have made 241-of-598 three point attempts this season. The school record for most made three pointers in a season is 285, which was set during the 1995-96 campaign. That team also set a school record for most three point shots attempted with 751.
GLIAC Players of the Week
The Oilers have had two players earn GLIAC South Division Player of the Week honors this season. Junior guard Martyce Kimbrough earned the honor on Dec. 12 and junior forward Taren Sullivan has captured the award four times (Jan. 9, Jan. 23, Feb. 6, Feb. 13).
Kimbrough earned his honor by averaging 33.0 points per game in the Oilers contests against Northwood (Dec. 8) and Lake Superior State (Dec. 10). He scored He scored 28 points and hit six three pointers in the Oilers 91-73 victory over Northwood and then followed with a career-high 38 points and eight triples in Findlay's 90-85 loss to Lake Superior State. His 38 points against the Lakers were the most an Oilers player has scored since former UF All-American Greg Kahlig put up 55 points against Walsh on March 8, 2014.
Sullivan meanwhile has captured the award four times. He earned the honor the first time by leading the Oilers to three wins over Carlow (Jan. 2), 6th-ranked Saginaw Valley State (Jan. 5) and Wayne State (Jan. 7). He averaged 12.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals per game in the three victories.
Sullivan's second award came when he averaged 21.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in Findlay's wins over Ohio Dominican (1/19) and Lake Erie (1/21). He earned the honor again on Feb. 6 after averaging 21.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game in Findlay's wins over Walsh (1/30) and Hillsdale (2/2). His fourth one came on Feb. 13 when he averaged 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game in wins over Ohio Dominican (2/9) and Lake Erie (2/11)
A Tough Place to Play
The Oilers are 594-118 (.834) in Croy Gymnasium since they starting playing home games there during the 1969-70 season. They have gone undefeated at home eight times in a season since they began play in Croy Gymnasium as well.
In the past ten years the Oilers have posted a staggering 139-8 record at home for an incredible winning percentage of .946.
From 2004-11, the Oilers won 71-straight home games, which at the time was the longest streak in the nation regardless of NCAA division.
Dominating GLIAC Home Games
The Oilers have won 122 out of their last 128 regular season conference games at home. From 2004-13, the Oilers won 84-straight GLIAC games in Croy Gymnasium.
