Oilers Ranked 22nd in National Poll

The University of Findlay men's basketball team cracked the top-25 as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released their weekly NCAA Division II poll on Feb. 21. The Oilers will enter the final week of regular season competition ranked 22nd nationally.

The Oilers are 21-5 on the season and have won six straight contests. They have been led by juniors Martyce Kimbrough and Taren Sullivan, who are both among the league leaders in scoring average. Kimbrough is averaging 20.2 points per contest, the fourth-best mark in the league, while Sullivan ranks seventh with 17.4 points per game. The duo has spearheaded one of the top offensive attacks in the league as the Oilers rank third in scoring at 85.0 points per game.

Findlay, who has appeared in the NCAA Division II top-25 poll in 16 out of the past 17 years, returns to the hardwood again on Feb. 23 when they travel to Walsh for their final regular season game at 7:30 p.m.
