Junior guard Martyce Kimbrough drilled a long three pointer at the buzzer in overtime to give the Oilers men's basketball team an 88-85 win at Walsh on Feb. 23 in Canton, Mich. The victory gives the Oilers, who are ranked 22nd in the nation, a 22-5 record on the year with a 16-4 record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers fell behind by a score of 77-69 with 3:45 to go in regulation, but closed the second half on an eight point run to tie the game and force overtime. Junior forward Taren Sullivan turned in a double-double with 23 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. He shot 10-of-18 from the floor and also added a steal and a block in the victory.

The Oilers will now prepare to host the first round of the 2017 GLIAC Tournament on Feb. 28 against Grand Valley State at 7 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
