Kimbrough Earns All-American Honors

Martyce Kimbrough, a junior on the Oilers men's basketball team, was named honorable mention All-American by the D2 Bulletin for his efforts during the 2016-17 campaign.

Kimbrough led the Oilers to a record of 25-7, which included a trip to the Sweet 16. He was named first team all-region by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and was also selected as a first team all-region pick by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA).

The Lima, Ohio native has been named first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in each of the past two seasons. He averaged 19.3 points per game and scored 617 points for the Oilers in 2016-17, the eighth-highest total in school history. He also set school record for most made three pointers (114) and most three pointers attempted (282) while making 40.4 percent of his long range attempts.
