Oilers Capture 96-87 Win over Walsh

The University of Findlay men's basketball team came away with a 96-87 win over Walsh University on Dec. 7 in Croy Gymnasium to push their record to 8-2 on the year with a 3-0 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).

The Oilers shot 58.2 percent (39-of-67) from the floor and canned a season-high 13-of-28 (46.4%) attempts from behind the three point line in the win. They also blocked a season-high eight shots and had 21 assists in the game.

Senior forward Taren Sullivan paced the Oilers with a career-high 31 points on 13-of-19 shooting. He also added seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the victory.

Sophomore forward Aaron Overhiser came off the bench to contribute a career-high 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting. Overhiser hit three triples in the game, grabbed four boards and blocked two shots.

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough had 14 points while junior forward Alex White had 13 points, four blocks and three rebounds in the game.

Bo Furcron led the Cavaliers with 21 points and six rebounds.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday when they host Malone at 1pm in Croy Gymnasium.
