The Oilers will be back out on the road this week for a pair of league games at Ohio Dominican and Cedarville. They will play the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio and then face the Yellow Jackets at 4:15 p.m. in Cedarville.

Series Information

The Oilers have posted a 31-7 advantage in the all-time series against Ohio Dominican dating back to the 1969-70 campaign when they were victorious by a score of 87-69. Findlay swept their season series against the Panthers last season, winning 72-69 at home and 82-79 on the road.

In their home win, Tyler Stern-Tucker led the way with 21 points. Taren Sullivan and Martyce Kimbrough also reached the 20-point plateau as each player contributed 20 points in the win. In their road win, Sullivan led the way with 29 points on 10-of-18 shooting. He made 5-of-9 attempts from long range and also chipped in eight rebounds and three steals. Kimbrough had 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting and also recorded four assists, three rebounds and three steals in the win.

The Oilers hold a 71-22 advantage in the all-time series against Cedarville as the two programs have been meeting on the hardwood since 1910. In their first meeting, the Yellow Jackets came away with a 32-30 win over Findlay.

Findlay came away with an 86-76 win over Cedarville last year in Croy Gymnasium. Sullivan led the Oilers with 27 points and ten rebounds. Kimbrough scored 21 points while Elijah Kahlig came off the bench to provide 17 points on the strength of a 5-of-7 showing from long range.

Findlay

The Oilers are 9-2 on the season and have been led by senior forward Taren Sullivan. Sullivan is averaging 18.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game for the Oilers this season.

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough is contributing 16.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest while senior guard Elijah Kahlig is pumping in 10.2 points per outing.

Sophomore forward Aaron Overhiser and junior forward Alex White are also off to a great start as they are each pumping in 9.2 points per contest.

The Panthers are 6-3 on the season with a 2-1 record in conference play. They are averaging 84.3 points per game and out-scoring their opponents by 18.4 points on average. Ronnie Williams leads a balanced offensive attack at 13.7 points per contest. He is followed by Sam Hickey (12.4), Hasan Varence (11.7) and Shemar Waugh (11.1) in the scoring column.

The Yellow Jackets are 6-3 on the year with a 1-1 record in league play. The team is averaging 80.1 points per game and only turning the ball over 11.9 times per contest. They have been led by Patrick Bain, who is averaging 20.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Conner TenHove is also off to a good start and sports averages of 10.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per outing.

Senior forward Taren Sullivan currently ranks 28th all-time at Findlay with 1,269 career points. Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough is also climbing the all-time scoring leader list and is ranked 30th with 1,249 career points.

Senior guard Elijah Kahlig is looking to join the 1,000-point club this season and has scored 796 career points during his tenure at Findlay.

Putting Points Up

The Oilers lead the Great Midwest this season in scoring offense, averaging 84.5 points per game.

Senior forward Taren Sullivan ranks fourth in the conference in scoring as he is contributing 18.9 points per contest this season. Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough is not too far behind Sullivan and is averaging 16.6 points per outing, the sixth-best mark in the league.

Three-Point Stroke

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough ranks fourth all-time at Findlay with 223 three pointers. Kimbrough is chasing Tyson McGlaughlin for third place all-time. McGlaughlin canned 238 three pointers for Findlay from 2002-05.

Former All-American Marc Bishop holds the school record for most made three pointers in a career as he connected on 313 from 1996-99.

Kimbrough set a single-season record for most made three pointers last year with 114. His 114 made three pointers eclipsed the old record of 95, set by Nathan Hyde during the 2009-10 campaign.

Kimbrough is also rising the Oilers all-time list for career three pointers attempted as he has hoisted 559 during his tenure with the team. His total is the fourth-highest all-time at Findlay.
