The #16 Oilers will be back on the road for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) contest at Hillsdale College on Jan. 13. The game is scheduled to begin at 3pm in Hillsdale, Mich.

Series Information

The Oilers currently own a commanding 50-9 advantage in the all-time series against the Chargers dating back to the 1959-60 campaign when Findlay won 90-59.

Findlay split their season series with Hillsdale last season, losing 80-65 on the road and winning 88-74 at home.

In the road loss, the Oilers were out-rebounded by a 39-25 margin. The Chargers also connected on 52.7 percent (29-of-55) of their shot attempts and canned nine three pointers.

Martyce Kimbrough paced the team with 20 points while Katwan Singleton had ten.

In the home win, the Oilers shot a blistering 59.3 percent (35-of-59) from the floor and connected on ten three pointers.

Sullivan led the charge with 28 points, nine rebounds and six assists while Tyler Stern-Tucker and Kimbrough each added 15 points in the win.

Elijah Kahlig also reached double figures with 13 points while Trey Smith had ten points in the game.

#16 Findlay

The 16th-ranked Oilers are 16-2 on the season with a perfect 10-0 record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play. They have won 12 straight games and are averaging 83.9 points per game.

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough is leading the Oilers in scoring at 18.3 points per game and has also made a league-high 54 three pointers on the season.

Senior forward Taren Sullivan is averaging 17.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. He is also shooting 53.6 percent from the floor.

Hillsdale

The Chargers are 13-3 on the season with a 7-2 record in Great Midwest play. They are averaging 73.3 points per game and holding their opponents to only 63.9 points per contest.

Nick Czarnowski leads the team and is averaging 14.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

Stedman Lowry is scoring 12.8 points per outing and is making 2.4 three pointers per game while Ryan Badowski is contributing 11.4 points per contest.

Nate Neveau is also scoring in double figures at 10.2 points per game and he leads the team with an average of 5.5 assists per outing.

An Elite Program

The Oilers have one of the best winning percentages in NCAA Division II competition since the year 2000, having won 431 games and lost only 107 for an overall winning percentage of .800.  During that timeframe, the Oilers reached the Elite 8 in 2005, appeared in the Sweet 16 in 2008 and again in 2017, and won the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2009 with a perfect 36-0 record.

1,000-Point Club

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough currently ranks 19th all-time at Findlay with 1,395 career points. Senior forward Taren Sullivan is also climbing the all-time scoring leader list and is ranked 20th with 1,382 career points.

Senior guard Elijah Kahlig is looking to join the 1,000-point club this season and has scored 837 career points during his tenure at Findlay.

Putting Points Up

The Oilers rank second in the Great Midwest this season in scoring offense, averaging 83.9 points per game.

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough ranks fourth in the conference in scoring as he is contributing 18.3 points per contest this season. Senior forward Taren Sullivan is not too far behind Kimbrough as he is averaging 17.8 points per outing, the fifth-best mark in the league.
