#13 Oilers Roll to 15th Straight Win

The University of Findlay men's basketball team extended their winning streak to 15 games with a 92-65 victory over Trevecca Nazarene University on Jan. 25 in Croy Gymnasium. The victory gives the 13th-ranked Oilers a 19-2 record on the year with a 13-0 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers shot 52.1 percent (37-of-71) from the floor in the win, which was head coach Charlie Ernst's 150th at Findlay. They also made 12-of-32 (37.5%) attempts from three point range and held a 38-24 advantage on the boards.

Senior forward Taren Sullivan paced Findlay with 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting while senior guard Martyce Kimbrough contributed 15 points and three steals.

Junior forward Alex White recorded a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds while sophomore forward Matt Ashley provided nine points and four rebounds off the pine.

Sophomore forward Aaron Overhiser had eight points while senior guard Austin Gardner contributed seven assists.

The Oilers will return to action again on Saturday when they host Kentucky Wesleyan University at 1pm in Croy Gymnasium. ESPN3 will be there to air the game live and the Oilers will recognize their 1979 national championship football team at halftime after they are inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Former Ravens defensive coordinator Dean Pees will also be recognized at halftime as the 2018 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Pees began his football coaching career at Findlay and was the defensive coordinator on the Oilers 1979 team.
