#15 Oilers Cruise | Win Regular Season League Title

The University of Findlay men's basketball team secured a regular season Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) title with a 107-86 win over Lake Erie College on Feb. 8 in Croy Gymnasium. The victory gives the 15th-ranked Oilers a 22-3 record on the season with a 16-1 mark in league play.

The Oilers shot a season-high 64.5 percent (40-of-62) from the floor and canned 61.9 percent (13-of-21) of their three point tries in the victory. They also recorded 20 assists and turned the ball over only six times during the night.

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough led the charge with a season-high 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Kimbrough canned 7-of-11 tries from behind the three point line and also chipped in four rebounds.

Senior forward Taren Sullivan returned from an injury to score 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting while freshman guard Tommy Schmock stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, a career-high eight assists and a career-high six rebounds.

Sophomore forward Aaron Overhiser came off the bench to provide ten points on 5-of-5 shooting while junior forward Alex White had nine points.

Senior guard Elijah Kahlig had eight points while junior guard Trey Smith recorded eight points and five assists.

The Storm, who connected on 14 three pointers and shot 54.4 percent from the floor, received 17 points from Brogan Scott.

The Oilers will be back at home again on Tuesday, Feb. 13 when they host Cedarville University at 6 pm.
