The No. 15 Oilers will be back at home on Feb. 13 to host Cedarville University followed by a home game against Ohio Valley on Feb. 15. The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) contests are scheduled to begin at 6pm in Croy.

Series Information

The Oilers hold a 72-22 advantage in the all-time series against Cedarville as the two programs have been meeting on the hardwood since 1910. In their first meeting, the Yellow Jackets came away with a 32-30 win over Findlay.

The Oilers converted 31-of-69 (44.9%) attempts from the field and only hit 7-of-30 (23.3%) tries from three point range. The Yellow Jackets meanwhile made 49.1 percent (28-of-57) of their field goal attempts and canned 9-of-21 (42.9%) tries from three point land.

Martyce Kimbrough led the offense with 18 points while Elijah Kahlig had 14. Taren Sullivan also reached double figures with 11 points.

The Oilers hold a 4-0 advantage in the all-time series against Ohio Valley dating back to the 2002-03 campaign when Findlay came away with a 94-73 win.

Findlay claimed an 86-73 win over the Fighting Scots earlier this season on the road as they shot 51.6 percent (33-of-64) from the floor and canned 10-of-22 (45.5%) attempts from behind the three point line.

Sullivan led the Oilers as he tied his career-high with 31 points. Kahlig had 18 points and Martyce Kimbrough scored 16 points.

#15 Findlay

The Oilers are 22-3 on the season with a 16-1 record in league play. They have already clinched the regular season Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) title and have secured the top-seed in the league tournament, which will take place on March 1-3 in Croy Gymnasium.

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough leads the team and is averaging 18.4 points per contest. Kimbrough has also made 82 three pointers and is making 3.3 triples per contest, the best mark in the league.

Senior forward Taren Sullivan is also having a great season and is averaging 17.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Sullivan is shooting 55.4 percent from the floor and 40.6 percent from three point range.

Junior forward Alex White is contributing 9.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while senior guard Elijah Kahlig is recording 9.5 points per game and has made 52 three pointers on the year.

The Oilers lead the conference in points per game at 83.8 and are shooting a league-best 49.2 percent from the floor. They also lead the league in steals per game (8.8) and fewest turnovers per game (9.6).

The Yellow Jackets are 11-12 on the season with a 6-10 record in league play. They have been led by Patrick Bain, who is averaging 21.7 points per game. Bain was recently injured however.

Grant Zawadzki and Conner TenHove are also scoring in double figures at 12.4 and 10.4 points per game, respectively.

The Fighting Scots are 3-18 on the season with a 2-13 mark in conference games. Christian Alley leads the team with an average of 14.8 points per game.

Aleksandar Djordjevic is scoring 12.4 points per game while Dylan Harrison is contributing 11.6 points per outing.

An Elite Program

The Oilers have one of the best winning percentages in NCAA Division II competition since the year 2000, having won 437 games and lost only 108 for an overall winning percentage of .801.  During that timeframe, the Oilers reached the Elite 8 in 2005, appeared in the Sweet 16 in 2008 and again in 2017, and won the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2009 with a perfect 36-0 record.

The Oilers have also appeared in the national tournament 13 times since becoming eligible during the 2000-01 campaign.

1,000-Point Club

Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough ranks 14th all-time at Findlay with 1,525 career points. He is chasing Nathan Hyde for 13th place on the all-time scoring list. Hyde put up 1,528 points for the Oilers from 2008-11.

Senior forward Taren Sullivan ranks 17th all-time at Findlay with 1,473 career points. He is chasing Marcus Parker for 16th place on the all-time scoring list. Parker put up 1,490 career points for the Oilers during the 2007-10 campaigns.

Senior guard Elijah Kahlig is looking to join the 1,000-point club this season and has scored 911 career points during his tenure at Findlay.

The Oilers have seen 46 players reach the 1,000-point plateau during their careers with the program.

Dominating Conference Games in Croy

The Oilers have won 131 out of their last 137 regular season conference games at home.  From 2004-13, the Oilers won 84-straight conference games in Croy Gymnasium.

Their last loss to a conference opponent at home came at the hands of Lake Superior State on Dec. 10, 2016 when they were a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). They fell 90-85 in that contest.
