#23 Oilers Host Saginaw Valley on Saturday
The No. 23 Oilers will be at home for the first time this season on Nov. 17 when they welcome Saginaw Valley State to town. The contest is scheduled to begin at 3pm.

Series Information
The Oilers hold a 21-4 lead in the all-time series against Saginaw Valley State dating back to the 1992-93 campaign when the Cardinals were victorious by a score of 75-67.
The two programs last met during the 2016-17 season in Croy Gymnasium. The Oilers came away with an 88-78 win over the 6th-ranked Cardinals in that game.
Martyce Kimbrough led the way with 28 points on 9-of-15 shooting. He made 4-of-9 shot attempts from three point land and drained all six of his attempts from the free throw line.
Tyler Stern-Tucker recorded 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting while Taren Sullivan finished one rebound shy of posting a triple-double with ten points, ten assists and nine boards.
Ricardo Smith added eight points and eight rebounds while Elijah Kahlig had seven points and four steals. Katwan Singleton played well off the bench with seven points and four rebounds while Aaron Overhiser made all three of his shot attempts and finished the game with six points in eight minutes of action.
#23 Findlay
The Oilers are 2-0 on the year after winning both of their games in Missouri to open the season. They are ranked 23rd in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll.
After back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Division II Sweet 16, the Oilers were picked to win the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) this season by the coaches within the league.
The Oilers opened the season with an 81-57 win at Truman State and then followed with a 91-86 victory over Quincy in Kirksville, Mo.
Senior Alex White leads the team with averages of 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. He is shooting 53.8 percent from the field as well.
Junior Aaron Overhiser is averaging 16.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while sophomore Anthony Masterlasco is averaging 12.5 points, 4.0 rebounds 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Sophomore Tommy Schmock is off to a good start with averages of 11.5 points and 6.5 assists per game while senior Trey Smith is scoring 11.0 points per game and shooting 50.0 percent from behind the three point line.
Saginaw Valley State
The Cardinals are 1-2 on the season and averaging 77.3 points per game.
Myles Belyeu, a freshman guard from Trotwood, Ohio, leads the team and is averaging 24.3 points per contest. He is shooting 60.5 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from behind the three point line. The rookie is also chipping in 6.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
Sophomore Liam Evans is averaging 9.3 points per game while junior Elijah Pughsley and sophomore James Toohey are averaging 8.7 points per outing for the Cardinals.
An Elite Program
The Oilers have one of the best winning percentages in NCAA Division II competition since the year 2000, having won 445 games and lost only 110 for an overall winning percentage of .801. During that timeframe, the Oilers reached the Elite 8 in 2005, appeared in the Sweet 16 in 2008, 2017 and again in 2018, and won the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2009 with a perfect 36-0 record.
The Oilers have also appeared in the national tournament 14 times since becoming eligible during the 2000-01 campaign.
A Tough Place to Play
The Oilers are 610-119 (.837) in Croy Gymnasium since they starting playing home games there during the 1969-70 season. They have gone undefeated at home eight times in a season since they began play in Croy Gymnasium as well.
In the past 15 years the Oilers have posted a staggering 219-10 record at home for an incredible winning percentage of .957.
From 2008-11, the Oilers won 71-straight home games, which at the time was the longest streak in the nation regardless of NCAA division.
Handling Non-Conference Foes
The Oilers have posted an 81-3 record (.964) against non-conference opponents in games played at Croy Gymnasium during the past 15 years.
Their last loss at home to a non-conference team came against top-ranked West Liberty State as the Hilltoppers defeated Findlay by a score of 90-74 on Nov. 14, 2012.
