#13 Oilers Roll to 85-72 Win Over Northwood

The University of Findlay men's basketball team, ranked 13th in the nation, came away with an 85-72 win over Northwood University on Nov. 26 in the Croy Physical Education Center. The victory pushes the Oilers record to 5-0 on the season.

The Oilers, who were up by as many as 26 points in the second half, shot 47.5 percent (29-of-61) from the floor and connected on 8-of-19 (42.1%) attempts from behind the three point line. They also held a 37-34 advantage on the boards and made six steals in the win.

Senior forward Alex White had a monster game to lead Findlay as he recorded his third straight double-double with a career-high 24 points and 14 rebounds. White also blocked three shots and set new career-highs by going 10-of-11 from the free throw line.

Sophomore guard Tommy Schmock also had a career night, establishing a personal-best of 19 points in the victory. He made 9-of-14 attempts from the field and also added six assists and three steals.

Junior forward Aaron Overhiser also reached double figures with 12 points while senior guard Trey Smith nd sophomore forward Chazz George each had eight.

The Timberwolves, who shot 46.9 percent (30-of-64) from the floor, received 16 points from Trey McBride.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Thursday when they travel to Tiffin, Ohio for a 7:30 p.m. Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) contest against Tiffin University.
