Oilers Fall to Falcons in Exhibition Game

The University of Findlay men's basketball team fell 82-57 to Bowling Green State University in an exhibition game on Dec. 16 in Bowling Green, Ohio.

The Oilers came out clicking on all cylinders and led for the first 19 minutes of the game. They eventually entered the break tied at 35-35 after they connected on seven first half three pointers. The second half was a different story however as they hit only 24.2 percent (8-of-33) of their field goal attempts. The Falcons meanwhile made 50 percent (15-of-30) of their field goal attempts in the second half to pull away.

Senior guard Trey Smith led the way with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Smith hit 6-of-12 shots from behind the three point line in the game as well.

Sophomore forward Chazz George also reached double figures with 14 points and five rebounds off the bench while freshman forward Deven Stover had six points.

Justin Turner led the Falcons with 22 points while Dylan Frye had 16.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Dec. 19 when they make the trip to Illinois to battle Lewis University. The contest will be held at St. Francis.
