White Makes Bevo Francis Award Watch List

Complete List of 100 Players

Findlay, Ohio – Senior forward Alex White has been named to the Bevo Francis Award Watch list which was released by Small College Basketball on Tuesday, January 15. White is the only player in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) on the list.

The Bevo Francis Award is given each year to the player who has the best overall season within small college basketball. Criteria includes individual statistics, team success, awards, and personal character.

White is one of 100 players among all of NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA Division I & II, USCAA, and the NCCAA.

The first cut of players will happen on February 15 and will cut the list in half from 100 players to 50 players. One month later, that list will be trimmed in half again to 25 and on April 6, finalists will be announced. The winner will be named on April 8.

This season, White is averaging 18.1 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game, both of which are top five in the conference. He has led the Oilers to a league-best 85.7 points per game and has helped keep the Oilers in the NCAA Division II Top 25 poll for the entirety of this season.

It is the second consecutive season that Findlay has had a player on the Top 100 Watch List. Last season Taren Sullivan made the list and made the cut as one of the top 50 players in Small College Basketball.
