Oilers Suffer Another Road Loss at Northwood

The University of Findlay men's basketball team took another loss, falling 87-81 to Northwood University on Nov. 18 in Midland, Mich. The loss gives the Oilers a 1-3 record on the season, the first time they have started their first four games with only one win since the 1982-83 campaign.

The Oilers shot 49.1 percent (27-of-55) from the floor and made 7-of-16 (43.8%) of their three point attempts. Northwood meanwhile connected on 52.6 percent (30-of-57) of their field attempts and made 9-of-22 (40.9%) of their three point tries.

Senior forward Aaron Overhiser led the Oilers with 16 points and five rebounds while junior guard Tommy Schmock had 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals in the loss.

Freshman forward Nathan Bruns added 13 points while sophomore guard Ethan Linder came off the bench to provide nine points and five rebounds.

The Timberwolves were led by Trey McBride and Ja'Kavien Lewis who scored 24 and 21 points, respectively.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Nov. 25 when they host Lewis University at 7pm in Niekamp Arena.
