Oilers Defeat Rangers 68-62

The University of Findlay men's basketball claimed a 68-62 win over the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Nov. 27 in Kenosha, Wis. The victory gives the Oilers a 4-2 record on the season.

The Oilers came back from a 38-29 deficit at the half to outscore the Rangers by a 39-24 margin in the second. They ended the game by hitting 50.9 percent (27-of-53) of their field goal attempts while limiting Parkside to a 42.6 percent (26-of-61) shooting clip.

Junior forward Nathan Bruns led the way with 22 points on 11-of-15 shooting. Bruns also added seven rebounds in the victory.

Senior forward Anthony Masterlasco also reached double figures with 14 points to go along with a team-high eight rebounds while senior guard Tre'Maine Gray had seven points and five boards.

Senior forward Deven Stover, junior guard Joey Edmonds, and senior forward Brady Wildermuth each contributed six points apiece in the game as well.

The Rangers were led by Tray Croft's 16 points.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Dec. 2 when they open up Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play at Trevecca Nazarene University.
