The University of Findlay men's basketball team went on the road and claimed a 79-76 win over Malone University on Feb. 22 in Canton, Ohio. The victory gives the Oilers a 17-8 record on the year with an 11-6 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
The Oilers shot 49.2 percent (31-of-63) from the floor and overcame a 40-26 deficit on the boards as Malone grabbed 15 offensive rebounds, which led to 21 second chance points.
Senior guard Tre'Maine Gray led Findlay with 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting while junior forward Nathan Bruns posted 18 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
Junior guard Joey Edmonds finished with 14 points and four assists while senior forward Deven Stover had ten points and three boards.
Bryce Butler led Malone with 20 points.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Feb. 24 when they host Ashland University at 7:30 p.m. in Niekamp Arena.
