Jones Named GLIAC Athlete of the Week

Senior Matt Jones of The University of Findlay men's golf team was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, April 19.

Jones was the tournament medalist at the Lake Erie College Invitational held at Madison County Country Club over the weekend. He earned the first place finish by shooting a four over par 150 (74, 74). His strong play also helped guide the Oilers golf team to a first place finish in the tournament as they fired a 603 (303, 300), which edged out second place Wayne State University by one stroke.
