Oilers Finish 14th At 2nd NCAA Regional

The University of Findlay men's golf team tied for 14th at the second NCAA regional event of the season after posting a two-round score of 614 (310, 304). The event was held on April 2-3 at the Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Kentucky.

Michael Schmitmeyer led the team and took 17th with a 149 (74, 75).

Joe McGeean (75, 78 – 153), Marcus Hunt (80, 75 – 155), Jeff Mocini (84, 76 – 160) and Matt Jones (81, 79 – 160) also competed for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 10-11 at the third NCAA regional event of the year. The tournament will take place at the Purgatory Golf Course in Indianapolis, Indiana.
