Hunt Takes 3rd At Northwood Invite

The University of Findlay men's golf team finished in a tie for fifth place with Saginaw Valley State University at the Northwood Invitational, which concluded on Sunday, September 18 at the Curry Golf Course in Midland, Michigan.

The Oilers shot a two-day score of 606 (311, 295) and were led by Marcus Hunt, who finished third with an even-par 144 (74, 70).

Michael Schmitmeyer tied for fifth with a 146 (76, 70) to aid the Oilers at the event.

Logan Cooke (85, 71 - 156), Kirby Doidge (81, 77 - 158), Jack Kastor (81, 84 - 165), Jake North (80, 87 - 167) and Stephen Sinchok (85, 84 - 169) also competed for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will be back in action again on September 25-26 at the first NCAA Regional of the season.  The event will be hosted at the Hawks Head Golf Course in South Haven, Michigan.
