Oilers Finish 7th At GLIAC Championship

The University of Findlay men's golf team placed seventh at the 2011 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship, which took place at the Eagle Eye Golf Club in Lansing, Michigan.  The Oilers shot a three round score of 927 (312, 306, 309) at the event as Grand Valley State University took home the title after carding an 887 (290, 295, 302).

Michael Schmitmeyer led the way as he tied for eighth with a 225 (78, 74, 73).

Marcus Hunt (76, 80, 77 - 233) and Logan Cooke (80, 72, 81 - 233) tied for 24th at the event.

Jake North was tied for 41st with a 240 (78, 80, 82) while Jack Kastor finished 51st with a 247 (87, 82, 78).

The Oilers will be back in action again on October 8-9 when they host the Findlay Invitational at Red Hawk Run Golf Course.
