Oilers Place 9th at NKU Spring Classic

The University of Findlay men's golf team took ninth place at the Northern Kentucky Spring Classic, which concluded on Sunday, March 18.

The Oilers finished with a two-round score of 605 (297, 308) as Central Missouri finished first with a 12-under par score of 564 (286, 278).

Michael Schmitmeyer tied for 17th to lead the Oilers as he fired a 2-over par score of 146 (71, 75).

Jake North (75, 76 – 151), Logan Cooke (73, 81 – 154), Marcus Hunt (79, 76 – 155), Kirby Doidge (76, 81 – 157), Stephen Sinchok (80, 78 – 158) and Jake Kastor (78, 82 – 160) also competed for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will hit the links again on March 24-25 at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational.
