Oilers 19th After 1st Day of Regional

The University of Findlay men's golf team completed the first day of competition at the NCAA Division II Midwest/South Central Regional, which is being hosted at the Jefferson City Country Club in Jefferson City, Mo. 

The Oilers fired a 316 on Monday, May 7 and are currently 19th in the team standings. 

Central Missouri leads the tournament as they fired a 2-under par score of 286 during the first round.

Marcus Hunt and Logan Cooke led the Oilers on the first day as both of them carded a 77, which was good for 61st place.

Michael Schmitmeyer (78), Stephen Sinchok (84) and Jake North (86) are also competing for Findlay at the event.

The tournament will continue tomorrow and end on Wednesday.
