Oilers Finish NMU Match Play Tournament with 18-18 Record

The University of Findlay men's golf team opened the season at the Northern Michigan Intercollegiate Match Play Tournament, which concluded on Sunday, Sep. 9.

The Oilers finished the event with an 18-18 record and were led by Ty Tweed, who wrapped up the event with a 4-2 record.

Marcus Hunt, Adam Johnson, Chien-Han Sung and Kirby Doidge each finished with a 3-3 record while Jack Kastor went 2-4.

The Oilers finished the event, which took place at the Greywalls Golf Course, in fifth place out of ten teams by winning half of their matches.

Findlay will return to the course on Sep. 15-16 at the Tiffin Invitational.  The event will take place in Sycamore, Ohio at the Mohawk Country Club.
