Oilers Finish 14th at Regional
The University of Findlay men's golf team placed 14th at the first NCAA Division II Regional of the season, which concluded on Monday, Oct. 1 at the Brighton Dale Golf Course in Kansasville, Wisc.
The Oilers shot a 309 on Sunday and then came back with a 303 on Monday to end the tournament with a total score of 612.
Dustin Lieber led the team with a 148 as he shot a 76 in the opening round, which was followed by an even-par score of 72 in the final round of competition. His score was good enough for 21st place at the tournament.
Marcus Hunt carded a 152 (76, 76) while Jack Kastor fired a 155 (77, 78).
Ty Tweed (83, 78 – 161) and Chien-Han Sung (80, 77 – 157) also competed for Findlay at the event.
The Oilers will be back out on the golf course again on Oct. 14-16 at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship, which is being held at the Elyria Country Club in Elyria, Ohio.
