Oilers Finish 9th at GLIAC Championship

The University of Findlay men's golf team placed ninth at the 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship, which concluded on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Elyria Country Club in Elyria, Ohio.

The Oilers shot a 303 on the third day to end the tournament with a 926 (313, 310, 303) as Grand Valley State University won with an 880 (311, 291, 278).

Marcus Hunt shot a 73 during the final round and finished the tournament in a tie for 15th place with a 226 (80, 73, 73) as he recorded five birdies on the third day.

Dustin Lieber tied for 34th with a 231 (78, 79, 74) while Ty Tweed tied for 50th (82, 78, 76 – 235).

Jack Kastor (82, 78, 76 – 236) and Chien-Han Sung (82, 84, 80 – 246) also competed for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will be back in action again in 2013.
