Men's Golf Ties for 12th at 3rd NCAA Regional Event

The University of Findlay men's golf team tied for 12th at the third NCAA Regional Tournament of the season, which wrapped up action on April 15 at the Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Ind.

The Oilers shot a two-round score of 597 at the event, recording a 302 in the first round and a 295 in the second.

Dustin Lieber led the Oilers and tied for 19th at the event with a 147.  He shot a 75 in the first round and then recorded an even-par score of 72 in the second for his total.

Marcus Hunt  tied for 42nd with a 149 after posting a 77 in the opening round, which was followed by an even-par score of 72 in the final round of competition.

Jack Kastor (75, 76 – 151), Adam Johnson (75, 77 – 152) and Stephen Sinchok (80, 75 – 155) also competed for the Oilers at the event.

The Oilers will return to the golf course on April 20-21 at the GLIAC Spring Tournament.  The event will be hosted at the Winding Hollow Country Club in New Albany, Ohio.
