Men's Golf Takes 4th at GLIAC Fall Invite

The University of Findlay men's golf team took fourth place at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Fall Invitational, which was completed on Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Hawks Head Golf Course in South Haven, Mich.

The Oilers, who shot a two-round score of 591 (298, 293), were led by Jack Kastor and his score of 145.

Kastor shot a 74 in the opening round and then came back with a 1-under par score of 71 in the final round for his total.

Marcus Hunt tied for 13th with a 147 (74, 73) while Matthew Fisher tied for 22nd with a 149 (74, 75).

Stephen Sinchok (77, 74 – 151), Dustin Lieber (76, 76 – 152) and Jake North (78, 81 – 159) also competed for the Oilers at the event.

The Oilers will return to the golf course again on Sept. 29-30 at the first NCAA Regional of the season.  The event will be played at the Harborside International Golf Center in Chicago, Ill.
