Men's Golf Finishes 11th at GLIAC Championship

The University of Findlay men's golf team took 11th place at the 2013 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship as the tournament concluded on Monday, Oct. 7 at the Eagle Eye Golf Club in East Lansing, Mich.

The Oilers shot a 322 on the third and final day of competition and ended the tournament with a score of 941 (301, 318, 322).

Jack Kastor tied for 20th place to lead the Oilers with a 231. 

Kastor shot an even-par score of 72 in the first round and then closed the tournament with rounds of 82 in the second and 77 in the third for his total.

Stephen Sinchok was 39th with a 236 (77, 80, 79), Marcus Hunt was 49th with a 239 (74, 80, 85), Dustin Lieber was 50th with a 240 (78, 79, 83) and Matthew Fisher was 57th with a 246 (84, 79, 83).

The Oilers will now prep for their spring season, which will begin on March 22-23 at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational.
