Men's Golf Ties for 20th at 2nd Regional

The University of Findlay men's golf team tied for 20th at the second NCAA Regional of the year, which wrapped up action on Sunday, April 6 at the Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio.

The Oilers shot a 315 in the first round on Saturday and then came back with a 311 in the second total to finish the tournament with a score of 626.

Marcus Hunt once again led Findlay and tied for 56th place with a 154 (77, 77).

Jack Kastor (79, 76 – 155), Dustin Lieber (79, 78 – 157), Matthew Fisher (80, 82 – 162) and Stephen Sinchok (82, 80 – 162) also competed for Findlay in the field of 29 teams and 145 players.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 13-14 at the third NCAA Regional of the year. The tournament will be held at the Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Ind.
