Oilers Take 8th at NCAA Regional

The University of Findlay men's golf team completed a NCAA Regional event on Monday, April 14 at the Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Ind.

The Oilers finished the event with a score of 611, which was good for eighth place out of 30 teams. The Oilers carded a 303 in the opening round on Sunday and then fired a 308 in the final round of competition on Monday.

Marcus Hunt tied for eighth to lead the team as he posted a 149.  He shot a 74 in the opening round and closed with a 75 in the final round.

Dustin Lieber tied for 18th to round out the top-20 finishers for Findlay as he carded a 151 (73, 78).

Jake North (80, 77 – 157), Matthew Fisher (76, 83 – 159) and Jack Kastor (85, 78 – 163) also competed for Findlay.

The Oilers will now compete in the GLIAC Spring Tournament, which will be held on April 19-20 at the Winding Hollow Country Club in New Albany, Ohio.
