Hunt Qualifies for Central/Midwest Super Regional

UF senior golfer Marcus Hunt has qualified for the NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Super Regional as an individual and will compete in the event on May 5-7 at the Fox Run Golf Course in Eureka, Mo.

Hunt has consistently been the Oilers top golfer this season and was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Golfer of the Week on March 27 after finishing first at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational.

The Port Clinton, Ohio native was named second team all-conference during his sophomore year and earned honorable mention all-league honors as a junior.  He is one of eight total individuals in the super regional vying for three spots at the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship (May 19-23), which will be held at the Meadows Golf Couse in Allendale, Mich.
