Oilers Place 6th at SVSU Invitational

The University of Findlay men's golf team took sixth place at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational, which completed second round action on Sunday, Sep. 14 at the Bay City Country Club.

The Oilers fired a 304 on the second day to end the tournament with a total score of 607 (303, 304) and were led by junior Dustin Lieber, who placed ninth with a 2-over par score of 146 (74, 72).

Senior Jack Kastor also secured a top-25 finish as he placed 23rd with a 150 (73, 77).

Senior Stephen Sinchok (76, 77 – 153), senior Jake North (79, 74 – 153), freshman Cam Wardley (75, 80 – 155) and freshman Justin Roth (82, 76 – 158) also competed for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will return to action again on Sep. 20 at the GLIAC Fall Tournament. The tournament is scheduled to be played at the Hawks Head Golf Course in South Haven, Mich.
