Oilers Tie For 2nd Place at Wayne State Invitational
The University of Findlay men's golf team tied for 2nd place at the Wayne State Invitational, which concluded on Sunday, October 5 at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Detroit, Michigan.
The Oilers, who shot a 622 (320, 302), were led by seniors Jack Kastor (77, 78 - 155) and Stephen Sinchok (80, 75 - 155). Kastor and Sinchok both finished the tournament tied for 6th place.
Freshman Andrew Stevens (81, 76 - 157) finished tied for 13th place while senior Jake North (84, 74 – 158), freshman Justin Roth (81, 77 – 158) and senior Kirby Doidge (81, 77 – 158) all finished tied for 15th place.
Junior Dustin Lieber (82, 77 – 159) and freshman Cam Wardley (84, 75 – 159) both finished tied for 18th place.
The Oilers will return to the golf course on October 10-12 at the GLIAC Championship. The tournament will be held at the Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown, Kentucky.
