Nashport, OH – The University of Findlay men's golf team took to the Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio for the first round of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Golf Championship. The event will last three days with the first round being played today, Friday, April 15, and concluding on Sunday, April 17. There are 15 teams competing in the event.

As a team, the Oilers are sitting in 12th place after turning in a team score of 319.

After one round, sophomore Cam Wardley began his round on the back nine and, with birdies on holes 10 and 12, found himself two under through five holes. He finished the back nine with a one over, 37 and shot the same on the front to finish his first round with a 74. His +2 places him in fifth after one day of competition.

Sophomore Justin Roth was the second-best score for the Orange and Black as he finished his round tied for 32nd. Roth was +5 on his opening nine but rebounded to shoot just one over on his finishing nine for a first-round score of 78.

Senior Dustin Lieber carded an 11-over, 83 in Friday's round, leaving him tied for 61st while freshman Andrew Bruns and Dylan DeWitt each are in a tie for 65th after they each shot an 84.
