Findlay Takes Fifth at Kyle Ryman Memorial Tournament

Tiffin, OH - The University of Findlay men's golf team concluded the Kyle Ryman Memorial Tournament on Sunday, October 2 in Tiffin, OH. Findlay dropped a spot in the team rankings with a 300 on the final day to finish in fifth place out of 17 teams with a 54-hole score of 883.

Freshman Sam Griffith was the top scorer for Findlay and finished in a tie for 19th with a three-round score of 221 after he shot a 73 in the final round.

Sophomore Dylan DeWitt, freshman Luke Kelly, and junior Cam Wardley all finished within a shot of eachother with DeWitt coming in a tie for 27th after a 77 in Sunday's round. He had a total score of 223 while Kelly and Wardley each had a 224 after posting scores of 77 and 74, respectively. They finished in a tie for 31st. 

Junior Justin Roth and freshman Drew Prater each finished in T45 after finishing the tournament with totals of 227. Roth had a third round score of 80 while Prater capped his tournament with a 78.

Freshman Grant Ricketts, Cameron Bruce, and Chase Lakari were the next finishers for the Oilers with Ricketts coming in T51 with a 229 while Bruce and Lakari each took T66 with 233. Ricketts capped his weekend with his best round, a 75, while Bruce and Lakari shot rounds of 77 and 79, respectively.

Sophomore James Riepenhoff was the final Oiler to finish in the tournament and turned in a score of 237 after an 83 in the final round of play. He finished in a tie for 83rd.

The men will next be on the course on Oct. 31 when they Travel to Nashville for the Trevecca Fall Invitational.
