Kelly Leads Oilers on Day 1 of SVSU Invite

Georgetown, KY – The University of Findlay men's golf team played Cherry Blossom Golf Course in round one of the SVSU Spring Invitational on Saturday, March 18. As a team, the Oilers find themselves in a tie for ninth out of 21 teams after combining for a 307 on the first day. The field includes ten teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Freshman Luke Kelly led the Orange and Black with a 73 (+1), the fourth-best score of the day. Kelly is in a tie for sixth while teammate, junior Justin Roth is tied for 15^th. Roth carded a 75 (+3).

In a tie for 54^th is junior Cam Wardley and freshman Chase Lakari who each entered the clubhouse after a first round 79 (+7).

Carding an 80 (+8) was sophomore Dylan DeWitt. He is tied for 64^th while freshman Sam Griffith is in a tie for 103^rd after an 85 (+13).

The Oilers will play the final round tomorrow, March 19.
