The University of Findlay men's golf team took seventh place at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational, which wrapped up on March 19 at the Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Ky. The Oilers finished the event with a two-day score of 608 (307, 301).

Freshman Luke Kelly led the way for Findlay by tying for fifth with a 1-over par score of 145. Kelly was 1-over par with a score of 73 yesterday and then came back with an even-par score of 72 on Sunday for his total.

Junior Justin Roth tied for 28th after posting a 152 (75, 77), freshman Chase Lakari fired a 154 (79, 75) to tie for 43rd, junior Cam Wardley tied for 50th with a 155 (79, 78), and sophomore Dylan DeWitt tied for 58th after carding a 156 (80, 76).

Freshman Sam Griffith also competed for Findlay and was 102nd at the event with a 163 (85, 78).

The Oilers will be back in Kentucky on March 27-28 for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Spring Tournament. The event will be held at the University Club of Kentucky Big Blue in Lexington.
