The University of Findlay men's golf team is currently in fifth place after the first day of competition at the GLIAC Spring Invitational, which is being held at the University Club of Kentucky. The Oilers fired a 297 on day one and Saginaw Valley State leads the field with a 286.

Individually, freshman Luke Kelly and junior Cam Wardley led the way for Findlay. Both players are tied for tenth at the event as they each posted a 1-over par score of 73.

Sophomore Dylan DeWitt posted a 2-over par score of 74 and is tied for 18th. He is followed by freshmen Cameron Bruce and Sam Griffith, who are each tied for 25th with an identical score of 75.

Freshman Chase Lakari is tied for 32nd with a 76 while junior Justin Roth is tied for 58th with an 80.

The final day of competition is slated to begin tomorrow.
