Oilers in 12th after Day 1

Noblesville, IN – The University of Findlay men's golf team played the first round of the fourth NCAA Midwest Regional at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, IN on Sunday, April 9. The squad posted a score of 304 and find themselves in a tie for twelfth overall out of 29 teams after one day of competition.

Freshman Luke Kelly paced the Oilers with a 73 (+1) on the day. He tied for ninth in par 4 scoring for the day at even par, tied for tenth on the day with 13 pars made, and is currently tied for 14^th in the tournament.

Junior Justin Roth and freshman Sam Griffith hold the next two spots for Findlay after carding scores of 76 (+4) and 77 (+5) on the first day of competition. Roth is in a tie for 40^th overall while Griffith is in a tie for 57^th.

The final two players for Findlay were sophomore Dylan DeWitt and junior Cam Wardley. DeWitt is in a tie for 74^th after shooting a 78 (+6) while Wardley is tied for 100^th after posting an 80 (+8).

Findlay will play the final round of the event tomorrow, April 10.
