Nashport, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's golf team had the morning round on the second day of the 2017 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Golf Championship and carded a 308 as a team, three shots better than their first round. Findlay fell three spots to ninth in the field with a two-round score of 619.

Freshman Cameron Bruce played the best round of the day for the Oilers, carding a 74 (+2) in his second round. Bruce shot 37 on both the front and the back nine and jumped up 13 spots from yesterday into a tie for tenth overall with a two-day score of 151. He picked up birdies on holes seven and ten and parred 12 holes on the day. In the tournament, he is tied for third with 25 pars made and is tied for sixth in par 5 scoring at 4.88 strokes.

Findlay's other freshman, Luke Kelly, is tied for 16th after another 76 (+4), the same score he posted in the first round. Kelly, who has a two-day score of 152, shot a 39 on the front nine and came back with a 37 on the back that included a birdie on the 480 yard, par 4, 13th hole.

Junior Justin Roth is currently tied for 28th with a 155 after posting a 75 (+3) today, five shots better than his first round score. Roth leads the field in par 3 scoring as he has shot even par for the tournament thus far.

Junior Cam Wardley and sophomore Dylan DeWitt are in T54 and T59 after shooting an 86(+14) and 83 (+11), respectively.

The final round of the event will take place tomorrow, April 23 with the men teeing off at 12:50.
