Findlay, Kelly Win Great Midwest Fall Invite

Findlay, OH - The University of Findlay men's golf team won a rain-shortened Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Fall Invitational at the Findlay Country Club with a 27-hole score of 436, seven strokes better than Malone which took second. Only scores from the front nine were counted. It is the second tournament win this fall for the men's program which had not won a tournament since April of 2012 before this season. 

Sophomore Luke Kelly led the Oilers with a 27-hole score of 105 (-3) and earned medalist honors.

Sophomore Cameron Bruce, who shot even-par 72 yesterday, came back with even-par today, carding a 36. He finished in a tie for fifth with a 108 (E) while senior Justin Roth also finished top-ten with a 111 (+3). He ended in a tie for ninth after shooting a 38 on Tuesday.

Senior Cam Wardley shot a 40 in the final round, finished with a 112 in a tie for 13th while junior Dylan DeWitt also shot a 40 to finish with a 117, good enough for a tie for 29th.

The Oilers are back on the course next Sunday-Monday, Sep. 24-25, for the Findlay Fall Invitational which will take place at the Findlay Country Club and Red Hawk Run Golf Course.
