Oilers Tie for 6th at SVSU Spring Invite
The University of Findlay men's golf team tied for sixth at the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational, which wrapped up second round action on March 18 at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Ky. The Oilers shot a 292 during the second round and finished the tournament with a 36-hole score of 582 (290, 292).
Luke Kelly led Findlay and tied for 15th with an even-par score of 144. Kelly posted a 2-under par score of 70 in the opening round and then came back with a 2-over par score of 74 in the final round for his total.
Justin Roth tied for 19th with a 1-over par score of 145 (72, 73) while Cameron Bruce also tied for 19th with a 145 (74, 71).
Dylan DeWitt tied for 35th (74, 74 – 148), Sam Griffith tied for 35th (67, 81) and Cam Wardley tied for 67th (77, 76 – 153) at the tournament.
The Oilers will be back in action again on March 26-27 when they host their Spring Invitational at UK Big Blue in Lexington, Ky.
