Griffith Earns Player of the Week Honors

Junior Sam Griffith was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Golfer of the Week on Oct. 10 after winning the Kyle Ryman Invitational.

Griffith won the event, which was held at the Mohawk Golf and Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio on Oct. 8-9, with the lowest 54-hole score in school history. Griffith ended the tournament 6-under par for his first collegiate victory.

The Findlay, Ohio native started the tournament off by recording the lowest 36-hole score in school history by posting a pair of 69's during the first day of competition to get to 6-under par. He then closed the tournament with an even-par round of 72 for his total of 210.
