Tiffin, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's golf program completed day one at the TU Kyle Ryman Invitational on Monday, October 7. The Oilers are currently in third place out of a field of 15 teams with a 36-hole score of 588 (292, 296). They will enter the final round 11 strokes back of tournament host and team leader, Tiffin University.

Senior Sam Griffith led the Oilers with a 142 and heads into the final round in a tie for second. He shot a 2-under par round of 70 before following with an even-par 72 and will look to capture the individual title and help the Oilers move up the leaderboard tomorrow. He won this tournament last year with a three round total of 210 (-6).

Freshman Holden Sribner and sophomore Hunter Foltz are tied for ninth after they each posted a 147. Sribner shot a 76 in the first round and came back with a 1-under par score of 71 in the second for his total while Foltz went 75 and 72 during his two rounds.

Senior Peyton Cooper (74, 74) and sophomore Caleb Westfall (73, 75) are tied for 14th with a 148 while senior Cameron Bruce (6, 74) and junior Parker Haynes (76, 74) are tied for 19th with a 150.

Freshman Connor Ohlich (76, 75 – 151), senior Grant Ricketts (75, 77 – 152), senior Luke Kelly (78, 75 – 153), junior Brock Kehres (78, 77 – 155), junior Drew Prater (78, 77 – 155), and freshman Jack Soper (76, 79 – 155) are also competing for Findlay at the event.
